TheMy work on season 1 of Welcome to the Wayne involved 3d-modelling environments based off rough background concepts, then subsequently handling compositing, and pre-visualization for final layouts. The show used quite a bit of 3D to aid with the rapid creation and arrangement of background sets, as well as to help with the camera perspective.
Built modular kits for use within shots where repeating elements were often seen, such as for hallways, bedrooms, and closets. Also assembled environments with complex details and challenging perspective shifts completely in 3D, populating them with props and set dressing.
Programs used were: Blender to assemble the environments, asset kits and shot layouts, exports of passes were then delivered into Photoshop and composited into Toon Boom Harmony.
